Very brightly colored, very comfy shoes, January 6, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SPIRA Men's Stinger XLT Running Shoe (Apparel) I love Spira shoes. I'm a nurse with alot of standing demand on my legs. These Spiras make all the difference in diminishing my leg and foot fatigue. The yellow is very, very bright. The young people around me love them. The friends who are 40-plus aren't show sure. I don't care what they think. They are also wonderful for running. I feel bouyant in these and, believe me, I am not very bouyant. I normally wear a size 8 1/2 to a 9. I purchased a pair of Spira runners that were 9B-C and they were a tad bit too short and not wide enough. With these I bought a 9 1/2 C-D. They're slightly too wide but my feet are not squished. I've worn them for 12 hours without my feet and legs tiring, and I was on my feet 80% of that time.

Spira Stinger XLT running shoe, great shoe if you have knee and ankle pain, March 29, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SPIRA Men's Stinger XLT Running Shoe (Apparel) I run an average of 3-4 miles a day, 2-3 times a week. I used to suffer from knee, hip, and ankle pain. With these shoes that has all gone away. They cushion the impact so much more than any other shoe I have owned. The cushioning effect doesn't lessen either with age. They are also extremely light weight. They don't provide alot of lateral support needed for other activities, so I wouldn't recommend them as a cross trainer or use for anything else than running/walking. Great shoe overall.
Wonderful joint saving, energy extending running shoes, July 3, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: SPIRA Men's Stinger XLT Running Shoe (Apparel) These SPIRA running shoes have patented springs in the heel and two under the forefoot (one under the ball of the foot). The springs not only cushion the impact (guaranteed for life - most running shoes last only a 100 miles), they give back much of the energy to propel you forward into your next stride. I know because I have two pair. The professional track officials know too: I understand the shoes are not legal for track and field competitions. The construction and materials are good. This pair weighs only 9 ounces versus 16 ounces and up for others!
