Great all around Boot, July 2, 2012 By This review is from: Danner Men's Elk Ridge GTX Hunting Boot (Apparel) These are one of the best fitting boot I have worn. I weight about 140lbs and they are more designed as a snug fit around the entire foot which adds great support for all types of hiking or just plain walking around.
The lugs are self cleaning which to be is an important attribute. They have just the right amount of stiffness to support on rugged terrain but not as stiff as some of the extreme hiking boots, which to me, adds to fatigue.
As with all Waterproof GTX boots, they are a little warmer than non GTX boots.
