Excellent, November 21, 2011 This review is from: ASICS Men's GEL-Frantic 6 Running Shoe (Apparel) Awesome shoes, the gel sole is excellent... I wasn't sure on buying this shoes because of the shine silver parts, but when I got them they were a lot darker than the picture and they look amazing.

I ordered the size that I always wear in Asics and it fit me better than all my other pairs! They are great to run in or whatever. I am upset the sole is wearing fast! The heel still looks new but the flat of the foot is wearing smooth. I have worn them maybe 15% of the time for a few months. Shame.

I have run 3 half, 1 full marathons and trained around 15-20 miles a week in this shoe.
Overall this shoe is a good running shoe for many different surfaces. I train on concrete, asphalt, and gravel surfaces. This shoe is very lightweight and super forgiving on your heels. I tend to have an outside-in gate when I am at marathon pace and this shoe really lets me run in my natural stride without rubbing my ankles or heels. If you are heavy on your heels and light on the push-off this would be a good shoe for you.
The only slight downside to this shoe is i feel that it needs to be replaced more quickly than other asics I have owned. But, it is not the most expensive shoe either so I feel it is an even trade off.
The looks are conservative and not flashy at all, (the shiny silver area is not that shiny) overall a good running shoe and I am purchasing again.
