I think the 10 may be a tad heavier, but I have flat feet ans slight pronation. They really work for me, and these shoes have lessened the wear I fell in my knees when on a run. They come in different widths so if they feel like they are "biting" your toes you may have purchased a size that is too narrow. I would buy these again.

I was recurring shin splints with my old asics that I later found out weren't meant for the foot type. I recommend it to anyone with flat feet.

Not as Good as The Foundation 9s (or 8s), August 9, 2011 By This review is from: ASICS Men's GEL-Foundation 10 Running Shoe (Apparel) I went through about 4 pairs of the Foundation 8s and loved them. I didn't like the 9s as much, so I was really looking forward to the Foundation 10.
Turns out they are a completely different shoe, way overcushioned and feel sloppy. More like the Brooks Beast, which I did not care for at all.
The 8 was great, the 9 barely OK, and the 10 sucks. I think Asics went in the wrong direction with this model - they should take a page from NB's book with the classic 992 and just keep making the Foundation 8.
I returned them and found a pair of Foundation 8s on the interweb. Will buy all I can get my hands on, then probably switch to a different brand, maybe back to NB.
